Acrylic / Mixed Media: Macrocosms

These original acrylic works incorporate diverse materials: gels, plastic wrap, silver foil, sand, bubbles, and water, I paint outdoors on layered glass plates to capture the day’s changing light, at different times of day, over days and weeks.

At various stages I adjust the media and glass to create the precise image I want, photograph it, scrape away the materials, and begin again. The image remains as the unique original and the photograph is printed one time only.

Collaboration with my NYC printer/framer ensures use of pigmented ink on archival surfaces, consistently outstanding quality, and delivery directly from printer to buyer.
